Citrine

Citrine is a yellow to golden-orange variety of quartz. Its color may range from pale champagne and warm honey to deeper amber tones.

Natural citrine is relatively uncommon. Much of the citrine available commercially is amethyst or smoky quartz that has been heat-treated to produce its golden color. Both natural and treated material are durable enough for many types of jewelry.

Citrine is traditionally associated with abundance, confidence, optimism, creativity, and personal power.

Citrine has a Mohs hardness of 7, making it suitable for many types of jewelry.

Avoid hard impacts, harsh chemicals, sudden temperature changes, and prolonged exposure to intense sunlight or heat, which may affect its color. Clean gently with mild soap, lukewarm water, and a soft cloth or brush.
